This is a busy time for us at Refugee Education & Adventure Challenge (REACH) with our 2021 Summer Adventure Camp on the horizon. It's been so great to reconnect with many of our participating youth and families and meet new refugee youth and their families as we register everyone for summer. We are just as excited as they are to get started! This summer, REACH youth will participate in a plethora of outdoor education and adventure sports activities including forest restoration, plant and wildlife assessments, nature scavenger hunts, tree monitoring, camping, canoeing, climbing, fort building, fly fishing, hiking, kayaking, scootering, ziplining, and more. Registration will close on June 20th.
As we prepare for these diverse learning and challenging activities, we will be coordinating several training sessions for our adult volunteers and Peer Mentors (youth leaders), including the following:
